With a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, its 4.0” display looks even sharper and natural in colors. The Corning Gorilla Glass protection will make this beautiful display free from scratch. The capacitive touchscreen works smoothly and responsively, giving you pleasure in operating the apps. The display is also equipped with other features such as Optimus UI 2.0, Gesture UI 2.0, Multitouch support, Accelerometer sensor, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, and Compass sensor.

The Optimus Black counts on 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and 512 MB RAM to support its performance. There is also PowerVR SGX530 graphics processor unit. Slightly older but works well to support the system. For the operating system, it uses Android OS v2.2 (Froyo) / v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) which can upgraded to v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).  It’s a bit shocking to know that the phone only has 2 GB of internal storage with 1 GB user available. Thanks to the memory card slot that allows you to put extra space into the phone. You can add memory card up to 32 GB. The connectivity options are quite various including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot; DLNA; Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR; and microUSB v2.0.

On the rear side, you can find a 5 MP camera which is equipped with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and video recording capability (720p@30fps). For a phone, the camera works pretty well. It can produce good quality images though you they won’t win any awards.
