LG Optimus One P500 Specifications Review
LG Optimus One has a solid body with soft-touch back cover. It doesn’t look as beautiful as premium smartphones, but it feels sturdy and fits perfectly in the palm. This phone has a 3.2” TFT capacitive touchscreen with 320 x 480 pixels resolution. Basic features like Accelerometer and Proximity sensor are included to support the display. Below the screen, there are four hard buttons (Menu, Home, Back and Search) to ease navigation. A volume control is placed on the right-hand side.
The Optimus One comes with Android OS v2.2 (Froyo) inside, but it can be upgraded to v2.3 (Gingerbread). Although it uses a slower 600 MHz ARM 11 processor, you can still navigate through menus smoothly. The processor works together with Adreno 200 GPU and 512 MB RAM to support the system and other apps. There is only 170 MB of internal storage in this device. Very small for a smartphone. Fortunately, the Optimus One includes a pre-installed 2 GB miscoSD card which can be expanded up to 32 GB. For the connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP; and microUSB.
You can find a 3.15 MP camera on the back of the phone. This camera is equipped with Autofocus, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and video recording capability. It has respectable quality as it deals fairly well with some tricky lighting conditions. But with no flash, it performs poorly in low-light condition. The Optimus One doesn’t include front-facing camera for video calling. However, there are still many other features available in this phone such as: GPS with A-GPS support; Document viewer/editor; Internet browser; Google Search; Google Maps; Gmail; YouTube; Google Talk; Digital compass; Stereo FM radio; Push Email; Instant Messaging; Video and music player; Organizer; Voice memo; Predictive text input; and more.
Size: 113.5 x 59 x 13.3 mm (4.47 x 2.32 x 0.52 in)
Weight: 129 g (4.55 oz)
